KYBELLA® (deoxycholic acid) injection is the first and only FDAapproved injectable treatment that is used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), also called, “double chin.” Kybella is minimally invasive and allows patients to carry on with normal activities post treatment.
Submental fullness is a common yet under treated facial aesthetic condition. It can impact a broad range of adults, and can be influenced by several factors such as aging, genetics and weight gain.
You and Dr. Bartels will customize your KYBELLA® treatment regimen, including how many treatments you need, based on your desired chin profile.
Most patients experience visible results in 2 to 4 treatment sessions. As an expert of the neck, Dr. Bartels is the perfect Kybella provider and has successfully treated adult men and women for reducing fat under the chin. Dr. James Bartels and Heather Dozois, RN are preferred Allergan Kybella providers and completed required Allergan training in December 2015 as qualified Kybella injectors.
Kybella is also used to treat the jowl area and to help define the jaw line. This treatment is administered along with treating the double chin revealed a more defined beautiful lower face.
